A never-ending bitter relationship, the abuse of thousands of men, women and children, deaths of a million people, ten million people displaced, countless families destroyed, and humanity lost. This was the backdrop to the creation of India and Pakistan in August 1947.

The objective of this book is to highlight inaccuracies and misrepresented facts about South Asia which have formed the basis of a narrative that caused animosity between South Asians in the lead up to and ever since Aug 1947.

The sincere hope being that, if allowed some consideration, an alternative view of South Asian history might be useful in initiating dialogue to find pathways for a peaceful co-existence between India and Pakistan and for South Asians to appreciate their shared heritage and history.
